Concentrated poverty leaves crime, underperforming schools, and little opportunity.
A 2018 Bloomberg report based on U.S. Census Bureau calculations ranked Atlanta the most unequal large city in the United States. Certain neighborhoods suffer from concentrated poverty, resulting in crime, underperforming schools, little to no jobs, and poor housing and health conditions.
